Dream

Some people dream of success... while others wake up and work hard at it. ~AuthorUnknown

I have a lot of dreams, and goals that I think would be awesome to accomplish! I have challenges in my life that I would really like to be able to overcome, and slowly I am learning how to overcome these challenges and accomplish these goals. The most important component of achieving ones goals though is deciding to work at them instead of just standing around dreaming of them. Often the only thing that separates a successful person from a failure is that the successful person simply chose to would work on achieving their goals. It is so easy to simply become an observer in life rather than become an active participant who changes things they see as unfit. If you want to overcome the challenges you face in life, the first step is to decide to work at it!
Are you a dreamer or a sitter? Do you watch or run? Do you encourage or discourage? Are you a dream builder or dream killer?
It's never to late to begin......the choice is yours! God does not forget your dreams!!!
Proverbs 3:5-6
"Trust in the Lord in the Lord with all your heart.....and He will give you the desires of your heart."

The Honor of Serving

It's no secret that I really enjoy teens. They are full of such hope and energy that I don't have...(the energy that is).
I serve the Chardon Local School District as a member of the Board of Education. It has truly been an honor to serve the students, parents, teachers, and voters of this district. I did not really enjoy to campaign process but since I have been on the board, I have found it an honor.
Today I got to do one of the fun parts of the job.
The Chardon HS Cheerleaders are 3 year National Champions. This morning they left for Orlando to see Mickey and bring home another National Championship. Yes, girls.....YOU ARE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!!!
I enjoyed talking with parents and the girls. They even let me take a group picture with the Champions.
Today, I am thankful for the many opportunities that God has afforded me in this life. He has taken me to places I have dreamed of and allowed me to meet people that are His children and that He loves.
Today, I am thankful for the honor to serve and be a servant.
I want to say Good Luck to the CHS Cheerleaders........We are very proud of you girls!!!

God is God - Steven Curtis Chapman

This song has been on my mind all day.
Sometimes we all need to be reminded that God's ways are not ours. His plan is perfect and He....YES......HE alone sees the entire plan!

GOD IS GOD
And the pain falls like a curtain
On the things I once called certain
And I have to say the words I fear the most
I just don't know
And the questions without answers
Come and paralyze the dancer
So I stand here on the stage afraid to move
Afraid to fall, oh, but fall I must
On this truth that my life has been formed from the dust
CHORUS:God is God and I am not
I can only see a part of the picture
He's paintingGod is God and I am man
So I'll never understand it all
For only God is God
And the sky begins to thunder
And I'm filled with awe and wonder
'Til the only burning question that remainsIs who am
ICan I form a single mountain
Take the stars in hand and count them
Can I even take a breath without
God giving it to me
He is first and last before all that has been
Beyond all that will pass
CHORUS: Oh, how great are the riches of His wisdom and knowledge
How unsearchable for to Him and through Him and from Him are all things
So let us worship before the throne
Of the One who is worthy of worship alone

Old People Polish

I am blond! Yes, you heard me folks.....I am a blond now.
Yesterday I decided to do something for myself. I should say......I let someone do something for me that I normally do myself. My son calls it "OLD PEOPLE POLISH."

I have started to gray around my temples and have had a hard time covering it for any length of time. So I decided to spend the money and go to the beauty shop and get my hair highlighted and the gray covered........BIG MISTAKE!

Now for years, I have done my own hair and managed just fine. You would think I would be content but NO!!! I have to try the commercial way and get my hair done. SO.....I spent 24 hours as a blond.

Do they have more fun? Not in my 24 hours. All I wanted to do is hide my head and happened to have a day where I needed to be out in public. O Joy!!?!?!?!
The look on my husband's face was priceless; my children were not amused and in fact....laughed.
They are all such supportive people!!!

Anyhow, today I went back to the salon and WASHED THAT BLONDE RIGHT OUT OF MY HAIR.

Moral to this story....Why spend the money and let someone mess up what you can mess up yourself???? Next time, go out and get yourself some OLD PEOPLE POLISH and do your hair yourself and save at least $40 bucks.
